Easy Without Eggs Vegan French Toast Recipe

Servings Per Container: 3 servings, 2 slices per serving

  • 6 thick slices of yesterday's white bread
  • 3 tbsp. l vegan butter
  • 1 3/4 cup soy milk (or 1 cup coconut milk with 3/4 cup soy milk for a richer flavor)
  • 3 tbsp. l egg substitute
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3/4 h. l cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

What do you need

  • 2-3 ripe bananas
  • 3/4 cup soy milk (or another non-milk substitute)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 8-10 slices of bread (any kind is perfect)

How to do it

  1. First, mix the bananas with soy milk, cinnamon, pumpkin pie and vanilla in a blender or food processor. Then pour this banana mixture into a cake or a wide and flat dish in which you can dip your bread.
  2. Then, pre-heat the skillet or skillet to medium-high heat.
  3. Gently dip each slice of bread into cooked soy milk and a banana mixture, carefully cover both sides of each slice of bread.
  1. Melt some vegetarian margarine in a preheated medium hot frying pan and sauté each slice of bread to a slightly golden brown on each side. I also like to use coconut oil to make French toast, as the aroma is simply heavenly.

Recipe Note: All the ingredients in this recipe are gluten-free, with the exception of bread, of course. But you can make it just fine for your gluten-free friends if you use gluten-free bread. Enjoy it!

Vegan French Toasts

I didn’t get vegan French toasts the first time. At first I used the loaf, and my bread was very difficult to turn over, fall apart, stick to the pan. It turned out scary, but very tasty. In order not to repeat my mistakes, use thick bread, and preferably small pieces. A good non-stick pan and plenty of butter will help you cook beautiful, rosy French toasts.

  • Banana - 1pc
  • Sesame (coconut) milk - 100ml
  • Bread - 6-8kusk.
  • Vegetable oil - 4 tablespoons
  • Cinnamon - 0.5 tsp.

Turn the banana with milk into mashed potatoes with a fork or blender.

Add cinnamon, mix everything. You can add sugar, but if you take a ripe, sweet banana, there is no need for sugar. Dip bread in our banana batter.

Fry in a hot frying pan until brown on both sides.

How to Cook French Toasts

For cooking use baguette, loaf or white bread. Despite the apparent simplicity, you need to be careful not to spoil the croutons. An indicator of their quality will be a ruddy, crisp and tender flesh in the middle.

Important! French toasts are made only from dried bread, which was baked at least two days ago.

Calorie content of 100 g of the finished dish without additives (berries, fruits, cheese, ham and other components) is 210 kcal. Such a quantity cannot bring any harm to the figure if you do not sit all day in front of the TV, but lead a normal, active lifestyle.

How can I replace the toaster?

If you don’t have a toaster at home, do not worry and refuse to cook delicious toasts. This household appliance can be completely replaced with a conventional frying pan, on which you will need to pour a little vegetable oil. When you don’t have much experience in the kitchen yet, it’s better to take a non-stick pan, because this way the bread will not stick to the surface and will not burn.

To make toasts according to a traditional recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Eggs - 2 pieces
  • Baguette - a few pieces
  • Cream (10% fit) - 150 ml,
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon,
  • Butter is a small piece for frying,
  • Salt - 1 pinch.

  1. This process begins by breaking eggs into a bowl, adding cream, salt, sugar to them and mixing everything well. Finish whipping when sugar is completely dissolved,
  2. Put a frying pan on a fire, heat it and melt the butter,
  3. Cut the baguette into slices no more than 1 cm thick,
  4. Soak the bread in the milk mixture on all sides, let it be saturated with this liquid. This will make the pulp after frying very tender and soft,
  5. Fry until golden brown over low heat, allowing the bread to fry. Otherwise, the top will burn, and everything inside will remain damp.

Important! Replace the sugar with the same amount of powdered sugar, and the egg mixture can be made much faster. In addition, cream can be replaced with less than high-calorie milk. The taste of toast will not change.

Before serving, croutons are placed on a paper towel or napkin to allow excess fat to drain.

French toast with egg

A great breakfast option for children, which can be done in less than 10 minutes. To do this, you will need:

  • Milk - 50 ml
  • Eggs - 5 pieces
  • White bread - 4 slices,
  • Vegetable or olive oil for frying,
  • Salt is a pinch
  • Black pepper - on the tip of a knife,
  • Tomatoes, cucumbers, dill for decoration.

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Stir until smooth, 1 egg, milk, salt,
  2. Make round holes in the slices of bread with a glass in the middle (cut pulp will not come in handy),
  3. Soak the prepared pieces in the obtained liquid from both sides,
  4. Heat the pan, pour oil into it and wait until it also becomes warm,
  5. Put bread in a pan and fry on one side,
  6. Turning the blanks over, drive a raw egg into each bread hole,
  7. Cover the container, reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes.

Serve warm, garnished with fresh vegetables, dill.

Favorite food of many sweet tooths, for which you need to prepare:

  • Eggs - 2 pieces
  • Milk - 3 tablespoons,
  • Bananas - 2 pieces
  • Butter - 40 g
  • Bread - 5 slices,
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoons,
  • Lean oil - 1 tablespoon,
  • Juice from one lemon.
