After going to the circus, many people dream of learning to juggle, but, unfortunately, most abandon this idea after several unsuccessful attempts. The first thing to think about is how to juggle. You can take any round objects, such as tennis balls. But it’s better to go to specialized stores, they have special juggling balls that will not run anywhere if you do not catch them. In the first couple, this will happen often. The balls are soft, most often filled with plastic beads. The main thing to remember is that all juggling items must be identical in weight and shape .

Anyone who has sufficient concentration, desire and zeal can learn to juggle. To do this, do not go to a circus or a special school. Just master all the juggling techniques gradually and train as often as possible. Juggling is primarily an interesting activity for you and those around you, which cheers everyone up. In addition, it will help you to keep fit, juggling also relieves stress from the eyes, helps to develop reaction and sleight of hand.

The best place to practice in the apartment is a bed or sofa, as falling on soft balls will not run away from you throughout the apartment, and falling will be silent and will not cause anyone any discomfort.

For juggling, you must correctly stand, namely, stand straight, feet shoulder width apart. Bend your arms at your elbows and always place parallel to the floor, palms up. The elbows should be near the sides, but not to snuggle against them and not protrude. Besides, hands should be relaxed .

How to learn to juggle a ball

Juggling with one thing : Take one ball in your hand and start tossing it from one hand to another. Throw not high, approximately at your eye level or slightly higher. Throw and catch the ball you need at different points. Throw you make closer to your body, and catch from the outside. Practice until you bring juggling with one ball to perfection. Try to speed up and slow down the pace.

How to learn to juggle 2 balls

We take two items, one in each hand. First throw with your right hand, taking into account the previous recommendations. Next, when the item reaches its maximum height, roll with your left hand. Catch the first ball with your left hand and the second with your right. Stop and repeat the exercise, but only with the other hand. Train until you start to work out. Next, try to repeat everything non-stop, gradually accelerating the pace.

How to learn to juggle 3 balls

We take two objects in the right hand, and in the left one. We throw one of the balls with our right hand, then make an exchange, as described in the previous task. When the item is at its highest point, we make another exchange. As a result, you will have two items in your left hand. Repeat the same, only starting with the left hand. Secure the double ball exchange and exercise until you are free to perform this exercise.

Now you can start juggling with three items. Continue to do everything as in the previous lesson, but add one more throw. As soon as you feel confident, add another throw, then another one, and so on. If you continue to practice, then soon you will feel confident and can easily juggle with three balls.

How to learn to juggle 4 balls

Take two balls in the right hand and two in the left. It turns out that each hand juggles with two balls. To get started, learn to juggle in one way with one hand. The balls are thrown just above eye level, and the hand, when juggling, makes a semicircular motion, throwing the ball near the body, and catching in the position farthest from it. Throw balls from left to right or from right to left and only that way. In no case should you throw balls away from you or yourself. After you learn to juggle with one hand, try with two. Do not throw balls synchronously, you will not succeed. Be patient, mastering the 4-ball juggling technique will take time and effort.

How to learn to juggle 5 balls

Emission technique, as in juggling 3 items. But now you have to throw balls twice as fast and higher. The height of the ball should be approximately 1 meter. Before you start juggling with 5 balls, take 3 and throw it so that you can make cotton with your hands before you start catching. If you succeed, then take another ball.

First, learn how to juggle two objects in one hand. To do this, train to throw the ball up and out a little. Now let me tell you how to learn to juggle 3 balls. After that, you can start juggling with 3 balls. Throw with a comfortable hand one of the two balls diagonally up and down. You can learn to juggle 3 ping-pong balls or those sold at a pet store for fun pets.

Most beginner jugglers, after they learn to juggle with three subjects, immediately want to learn four. This trick is called oblique pairs, or wimpy in English. So juggling is easier, but not by much. Now I will talk about the way that most jugglers began to juggle with four balls. If you skillfully show this trick, then an unenlightened viewer will not even guess that the balls do not fly from one hand to another.

Although at first it seems that synchronously throwing is easier. Follow the proven methodology: throw ten times, then three throws with each hand ten, then four, etc. Everyone can learn to juggle with four objects - a normal person has enough willpower for such achievements.

When I juggle, I hardly notice the difference in height: I only found out about this recently. I've been juggling 4 for 3.5 months now and am not sure if I can retrain. 0.5 years ago, I learned to juggle three, then abandoned this thing, then I took it again and absolutely all the skills were preserved, now I set out to master 4.

And so easy to go! The main thing is to throw it evenly to the same height and make sure that the right and left balls do not come too close. At the same time, with each hand I individually do not throw 2 goals very well.

I've been juggling for a month now. I learned the cascade, columns, crown, spirals and mils mass, the fountain does not work! It seems like I'm juggling well with two, but with four I can’t, the balls fly off and that's it. Help! How well do you manage to juggle two in one? When I started learning juggling with four, I could freely make about 2-3 hundred throws with each hand.

Where should I juggle?

Now I can freely spread my arms about 120 degrees relative to each other and still juggle with four. He himself began to learn 4 goals from an asynchronous fountain. Two days (about two and a half hours a day of juggling 4) took to understand the reason. And do not drop everything immediately after two or three unsuccessful attempts. In order for the balls not to collide, they must cross this line. You do not need to throw the ball far to the side.

If you are the latter, take the balls and go. If you want to learn a few tricks with 3-4 balls that will help you learn five better, watch and learn. Actually, the only thing you need to learn is to throw the balls to a great height. And these tricks are united by the frequent use of site swap “5”, that is, a throw to the height of juggling with five balls. You can juggle at different heights, and accordingly, at different speeds.

Try to juggle to music with a given bitrate (It's easy to find VKontakte by indicating the number of N beats per minute - “N bpm”) and see what pace suits you. In order to learn how to throw 3 subjects well (as well as 4-5) it is useless to stand and train the cascade for hours. Juggle on outstretched arms. Spread your arms as wide as possible. First, throw one ball and catch it with the same hand to get used to the sensation.

Keep practicing throwing one ball from hand to hand until you start to do well. When you juggle air, do your arms make a circular motion? It is very important that the ball reaches its maximum height before throwing the second ball. This is especially important when you start juggling with three or more balls. Start slowly, just to understand how the three balls move in the air.

When the second ball is in your right hand, just catch the third ball and that's it. That is all you have to do. Now that you have learned a simple cascade with three balls, learn how to throw balls “crown”. In this method, when catching a sword, you move your hands not to the body, but from the body, that is, you make the reverse movement of the cascade. You can start in a simple cascade, and then gradually start throwing every third ball with a crown.

Four-piece juggling

When you have mastered these juggling techniques well, you can begin to master the “columns” (one ball in the middle, the other on the sides), the Mills Mass, and others. In general, I advise everyone to learn, do not lose anything. And I learned to juggle oranges, when in some children's program Kuklachev showed how to learn this.

Everywhere you will be helped by our two-dimensional friend juggler, who is currently juggling with three balls - the final goal of this training. Many people prefer to juggle with soft balls rather than hard ones. I learned to juggle with apples, and the women of Tonga (Pacific Islands) use tui-tui nuts! Keep your elbows close to the sides, stretch your arms in front of you at the height of the waist and throw the ball from one hand to the other.

Easy, right? The same technique is used by jugglers with 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 balls, etc., although I doubt that at this stage you feel very stunned by your new achievements. When you juggle with three balls, they should fly in the same plane in front of you, as shown in the diagram on the left. However, some beginners ...

But if you find that your body bends forward to catch the ball, other problems may follow. To avoid this problem, why not try juggling in front of the wall? The wall will help you see the plan in which you should juggle. You should notice that the balls fall into your hands one by one and that they will exchange places.

In a desperate attempt to free this place, you throw the second ball across to the other hand and the exchange - in a sense - is completed. Some people are simply bursting even with the thought of two balls hanging simultaneously in the air and, therefore, they miss everything.

Most of the time there is only one ball in the air, and this is the ball on which you should concentrate all your attention. At this stage, it would be very opportune to stop thinking that what you are doing is a series of exchanges and start thinking that this is just the only juggling pattern, a juggling figure.

Who was the first

This art originated a very long time ago. Even in Ancient Egypt during the Middle Kingdom, and this is more than four thousand years ago, it was widespread.
Here is the image on the wall of the tomb of one of the princesses of that era.

In ancient China, warriors often juggled with swords before a fight. There was one soldier who could do this with seven blades at the same time. Such battles often ended before they began. Opponents simply did not want to be chopped into cabbage in a couple of minutes.

At the end of the 18th century, the first circus was opened in France, and the actors got a job. Prior to this, in the Middle Ages, such art was considered witchcraft, so it fell into decay.

In the 19th and early 20th centuries it was already easier to learn to juggle. Many theaters and big tops offered this fun, and the artists had overlays with money. Therefore, for a small fee, you could hire a tutor.

In 1940, the first computers learned to calculate the trajectory of the tossed objects. Since that time, a similar phenomenon has been considered from the point of view of science. The International Juggling Association was founded.

In the 1970s, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology began to study this phenomenon deeply. Claude Shannon formulated his theorem (which we will talk about later), and Seymour Papert and his friends founded a juggler club. This is by far the oldest institution of its kind.

Nowadays, this art is widespread enough and is becoming increasingly popular. Usually they start with the question of how to learn to juggle with three balls. This trick can be seen at fairs and circuses, just in the office or in the market. That is everywhere.

It was developed by one scientist from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It is a schematic calculation of a cascade with three objects. That is, it mathematically explains how to learn to juggle 3 balls.

So, the formula is as follows: (F + D) x H = (V + D) x N, where F is the time the ball spends in the air, D is the time of the ball in the hand, H is the number of hands involved in the trick , V is the time during which the hand is free, N is the number of balls.

The theorem is proved due to one complete juggling cycle. There was a calculation from the point of view of the hand and the ball, both results were compared.

In other words, the conclusion is - the more balls, the more the trick depends on the speed of the toss. Even the slightest departure from standard movements can ruin the whole picture.

Types of juggling

Inventory here are balls, pins, clubs, rings, rackets and more. Work occurs mainly with the number of items. The main tricks are a cascade and a circle.

Teamwork when several artists throw objects to each other.

It looks like a classic one, but the balls also hit the floor surface, which makes the room more spectacular. The subsection can be called elements of the warm-up athletes. Attend any workout, and you will understand how to learn how to juggle a soccer ball.

More static. It is subdivided into several subspecies.

  • Bodyroall when balls roll over the body. Particularly involved are the shoulders, forearms, back, neck.
  • Multibol - the actor is controlled with balls in the palm of one hand. Something similar to how the Chinese ringing spheres are sifted for meditation.

Juggling three balls.

Literally, there are hundreds of variations of juggling with three balls, some of which are even very complex, but there are also more than enough different tricks that are available for you at this stage. 4 and three balls, diabolo, clubs in one hand 2 and 3 in two, 4 and 3 rings and I can keep balance and twist the stick, juggle it! I just can’t learn how to juggle 5 balls!

Many wanted and want to learn how to juggle, but do not know how. Therefore, in THIS lesson you will learn how to learn the first - the basic type of juggling. And now for the real 3 Balls!

All this is well illustrated by the video from our page showing how to juggle 3 balls. From the outside, this seems incredible, although everyone can learn to juggle. 6 preparatory and 4 basic exercises. Ps because of this, it seemed to me that juggling 4 is difficult. If you understand the technique, then success will be much easier. So, today I’ll tell you how to learn to juggle with three balls in one hour. The story will be described more precisely, as I did.

Visiting a circus one is always amazed at the skill of acrobats and jugglers. They perform their numbers so easily that it seems that everyone can repeat it. Especially they are tempted to juggle, each of us tossed tangerines or balls from ping pong in childhood. Not always successful, of course. Broken chandeliers are witnesses to this.

But you can learn to juggle, patience, zeal and time will hone the skill of throwing balls to perfection.

What do you need? Naturally - balls.

You can take tennis balls, but it’s better to immediately buy special juggling balls that are filled with plastic beads. They will not roll away from you when they fall to the floor, and you will not have to get them with a mop from under the cabinet. Juggling items must have the same shape and weight. Of course, when the skill becomes large, jugglers work with many different objects, but for starters it is easier to make the balls the same.

Tennis balls are great for juggling. Professionals advise making a small incision in the ball, filling the ball with salt and sticking it.

Juggling is not just a game, it develops plasticity of the hands, overall reaction and mobility, helps to maintain good physical shape and reduces stress of tired eyes.

It is preferable to learn to juggle on a carpet, or a soft sofa, then the balls will not make noise and irritate the home when they fall.

You need to learn how to stand while juggling. Stand straight, feet shoulder width apart. Hands bent at the elbows should be brought closer to the body from the sides,
but do not press them against the body, and do not protrude. It is required to relax the shoulder girdle and arms as much as possible. The palms are always directed straight up.

It’s best to start juggling with one ball.

Three stages of juggling training. Every step should be honed to automatism!

Learn to throw it from hand to hand and catch it from different positions.

With your right hand toss the ball when it reaches the highest point in flight, throw the second. And immediately catch, it's time.

Perform this exercise starting with your left hand. Change the pace, try to juggle balls non-stop. Over time, everything will turn out. When you learn to juggle well with two balls, add a third, fourth, fifth.

After the balls, try juggling with tubes of toothpaste. Retraining from them to real clubs will not be difficult at all.

And remember, to master the most difficult trick is possible, you just need patience. Remember the circus jugglers? They did it!

If you are on this page, then you would like to learn how to juggle. It is not as difficult as it seems at first glance.

Basic principles

When you learn the base and understand how to learn to juggle with 3 balls, it will be possible to learn various tricks, and there are a great many of them.

Here are a few names for only three balls: columns, tennis, helmet, crown, spiral, snake, so-and-so, pendulum, Burke's car and many others.
But it will be later. Now let's get back to the basics.

It is important to learn how to follow the ball and turn off mindfulness. They must occur on the machine. If the rider was thinking about when to turn on the gear, which pedal to press, he would crash into the very first curb.

Therefore, we simply accustom our hands to the trajectory of the movement of the balls. Soon you will realize that with the accumulated throwing rhythm, the ball flies from the same point and lands in the hand after an exact amount of time in a particular place. And so constantly, while you are "on autopilot."

First lesson

The theory is over. Ready for the practical part of the article on how to learn to juggle?

First you need to find three approximately the same size, preferably round objects. It can be vegetables or fruits, balls for tennis or baseball. In the end, just socks rolled up into balls. We include imagination, we develop creativity!

We stand relaxed and level. Forearm parallel to the floor, elbows near the sides, but not pressed against them.

Let's start with one subject. The throw is made near the center of the body, we catch it from the outside of the body. Height - just above eye level. Go! From the right brush to the left and back. We do this exercise until it is obtained on the machine at approximately the same points for both hands.

Let's complicate a bit. Take two balls, one in each palm. Throw the first with your leading hand (right, if you're right-handed). When it takes off to the maximum height, we throw it with the left. Now the balls are in the opposite position to the original.

Stop, check if your elbows or forearms have moved. We continue without pauses. And you thought it would be easy to understand how to learn to juggle? The result you need to achieve the same as in the exercise with one subject.

Three balls. Here it is, the immediate goal. In this trick, everything is simple. Here, as if in turn, the hands become leading. We will explain now. The bottom line is double exchange.

We start, in the right two balls, in the left - one. We throw it with the leading brush when it reaches eye level, recall the previous exercise and use the ball with the other hand. When the second takes off at maximum height, and the first is on the approach to the left, it's time to send the third object on the way. As a result, we should get such a position that in the leading palm one, and in the opposite - two balls.

This is called a double exchange. The goal of this exercise is to do ten such cycles without stopping. Look carefully at the drawing.

When there is a base, and the answer to the question is how to learn to juggle, it's time to improve skills.

Now we will learn one of the more difficult tricks with three balls. The name comes from the English word “shuffle,” because the movement of the hands is like shuffling a deck of cards.

The basis of this trick is the basic manipulation of the slam, “hit”. In fact, a shuffle is just a lot of such movements in a row.

First we train slam, and then we turn it into a cascade with three balls and get a shuffle.

So, let's begin. Take one ball in each hand. It’s easier to do the trick with the lead. Starting position - the auxiliary one is like in a cascade, and the slam one is a little different. The elbow is set aside, the forearm is directed upwards. The ball is held with the thumb, forefinger and middle finger.

There will be no time between the throw and the capture. With our left hand we send the ball, as in a cascade. When he takes off to shoulder level, we sharply throw a second one over him, and in the same second we catch the first ball. It should be one move.

Further, the forearm goes down, like a car wiper brush, and returns up to its original position.

Coordination is very important here. Learn to do with one hand, then turn the trick into a regular cascade. Over time, you can do two.

Achievements

But this is not the limit. Want to know the highscores?

13 rings were simultaneously used by Albert Lucas, 13 goals - by Alex Barron, 9 clubs were able to lift three athletes - Bruce Tiemann, Scott Sorensen and Chris Fowler.

Want worldwide fame? Learn to deal with a large number of subjects, record a video and submit it to the jury for review by the International Association.

Juggling Technique

cascade 3 balls

cascade 5 balls

cascade 7 balls

Elbows should not be located behind, not in front, but next to the body.

Lower your arms along your body. Raise your forearm without moving your elbow. Only the forearm works, all other muscles are relaxed.

Draw an invisible vertical line dividing the space in front of you into 2 parts. The right hand will be in one part, the left in the other. In order for the balls not to collide, they must cross this line. You do not need to throw the ball far to the side. It’s enough that he just flew to the other half.

Useful exercises for a cascade of 5 balls

Some jugglers, in order to learn a trick, lay it out on simpler elements and with the help of various exercises they gradually go to the goal. Others take one trick and train it for hours without any preparation. If you are the latter, take the balls and go. If you want to learn a few tricks with 3-4 balls that will help you learn five better, watch and learn.

How can these exercises help? Why are these tricks chosen?

Actually, the only thing you need to learn is to throw the balls to a great height. And these tricks are united by the frequent use of site swap "5", that is, a throw to the height of juggling with five balls.

Throw 3 balls out of hand

Throw 4 balls crosswise

Speed and altitude

Usually the slower the pace, the higher you throw, and if you want to accelerate, then the height decreases. But this is not necessarily the case. To find out what is the matter, we need to get acquainted with the concept of "delay time".

The delay time shows how long the ball is in the hand. The longer it is in the hand, the longer the delay time and, accordingly, the slower the juggling (at the same height) and the less the chance of collision of balls. Conversely, a short delay time means that the balls fly out immediately after being caught. It looks like a hot potato. At the same time, more balls are in the air at the same time, so the probability of a collision increases.

cascade of 5 balls, long delay time

cascade with 5 balls, normal delay time

cascade with 5 balls, short delay time

Task 1: Change the height, keeping the pace.

Place a metronome and try to juggle exactly under it. Here is your comfortable height. Now try to throw higher, without slowing down. To do this, you have to throw out each ball a little earlier. Happened? Trying the opposite story. To juggle lower and not accelerate, you need to throw balls at the very last moment. Feel the difference?

Task 2: Change the pace, maintaining the height.

Determine for yourself the height to which you will throw. Whatever happens, keep your height. Neither above nor below. In the last exercise, you understood the basic principle: either throw as late as possible, or as early as possible. Play around with this, and you will notice how at the same height you can change the speed almost 2 times!

Pattern Width

The wide base of the pattern helps avoid collisions. But too wide a pattern complicates the catch of the ball. Find the best option for you.

A combination is also possible - one hand throws narrowly and the other wide. This is how you will juggle if you try to turn during the juggling process. When you turn right, you teach your left hand to throw wider, and when you turn left, you learn to throw wider your right hand. Take a note: cornering is a very effective way to make the cascade wider, and therefore more stable.

cascade 5 balls, narrow

cascade 5 balls, ok

cascade 5 balls, wide

Intersection point

The crossing point is the place where the ball crosses the center line. You may notice that balls from both hands pass through this point. Opinions differ about where the intersection point should be when juggling a large number of objects. Some believe that it should be "at the top of the pattern at an angle of 90 degrees." Others believe that the intersection point should be as low as possible. Find the best option for you.

To keep the intersection point high, try not to move your arms. Lock your forearms and throw balls only with a brush. In this case, the ball flies in the widest possible arc. The distance between the catch point and the ejection point can reach the size of the ball itself, but it cannot be less, otherwise the balls will collide. This option is most often used for 5.7.9 items.

To reach a low point of intersection, point the ball with your whole hand. Before the throw, move the ball to the other side, and then toss it vertically. That is, the right hand throws on the left side, and the left hand - on the right. This option is most often used for 6.8.10 items.

Exercises for Cascade Stability

In order to learn how to throw 3 subjects well (as well as 4-5) it is useless to stand and train the cascade for hours. When you keep it stable enough, there is no longer any difficulty in this lesson, which means that there is no progress.

Try the following exercises while juggling:

Walk - forward, backward, sideways, turn

Run, jump, dance

Lower and raise your hands. One arm closer to the body, the other further. Juggle on outstretched arms. Spread your arms as wide as possible. Flatten your hands and tie your hands.

Balance - Stand on one leg, on the balancing board, walk the rope

Sit down, go to bed and get up, lean in different directions

Eyes - look at the ceiling, at the floor, to the side, tilt your head, turn your head, read a book, close one eye, blink, play peepers

Think - solve problems, answer questions, tell stories

Play juggle games: jollyball, Simon, football, limbo, mace battles

Juggling in different places - in the subway, on the roof, in a boat, in a bath, on a horse, on a carousel

Juggling in different states - sleepy, tired, drunk, frozen

Juggle to the rhythm of the music. Try a different pace.

How to juggle

First you need to find at home three objects that are close in shape to a ball and conveniently fit in your hand. Yes, yes, three potatoes, an apple, an orange, an onion are suitable - anything, if only it would be convenient for you. A friend of mine began with three pieces of bricks, I with three socks rolled up into balls. You are unlikely to find special balls for juggling, you can always buy them later, and you must start juggling now, until you lose interest.

And balls can be made independently. Manufacturing technology - on the forum.

Juggling technique

There is a special technique with which you can learn to juggle in one hour. It is called REHORULI. I really like it, but it will take at least a week to study it, and during this time you will already learn how to juggle, learning in the traditional way. But, if it doesn’t work out, be sure to check out REHORULI.

Jason Garfield, founder of the World Juggler Association, has somewhat improved the usual technique, and I will rely on his recommendations in my description. So, let's begin. For convenience, I will call the objects that you juggle balls, and the leading hand - the right.

One item

Take one ball in your hand and transfer it from one hand to another. The throw height is slightly above eye level. Throws and catches are made at different points. Throws - closer to the middle of the body, capture - from the outside. After the capture, the hand makes a semicircular motion and makes a throw.
This exercise is simple, but very important, as it lays the foundation for juggling. Practice until you confidently throw and catch the ball.

Two subjects

Take a ball in each hand. Throw with your right hand, taking into account the recommendations of the previous paragraph, and when the ball reaches its maximum height, throw with your left hand. Catch the first ball with your left hand, then with your right hand - with the second. Stop. Now repeat, starting with the left hand of the hand. Focus on the accuracy of the shots.

When you exchange balls, it starts to turn out confidently with each hand, you can do this exercise without pauses.

Three subjects

Take two balls in your right hand and one in your left. Throw one of the balls with your right hand, then make the exchange as described in the previous lesson. When the ball reaches its highest point, make another exchange. As a result, you have two balls in your left hand and one in your right. Repeat starting with the left hand.

After you have learned to do a double exchange, consolidate the skill by training until you can do a double exchange ten times in a row without dropping the ball.

Three juggling

Now you are ready to juggle. Do everything exactly the same as in the previous lesson, but add one more throw. Practice making a triple exchange until you can do it ten times in a row. After that add one more throw. Then one more, then another, etc. Focus on the accuracy of the shots all the time. A correctly thrown ball will fall into the hand itself. At one point, you will feel confident and be able to juggle with three balls as much as you like.

To learn to juggle, it is not necessary to enter a circus school or have an innate talent, enough desire, zeal and a little knowledge. Once you are here, it means that you already have the desire, you will receive the necessary knowledge by reading the article to the end, only zeal remains - train, train and train until you master all the exercises one after another so that each movement is easy, stress-free , playfully. No one will tell you exactly how much time will be spent on everything: someone needs only one day, someone needs a week, as a rule, children, adolescents and young people get the juggling skill easier and faster.

The choice of props and place for training
For training you will need three absolutely identical in weight, size and shape of the subject. Some use apples, tangerines, pieces of bricks, etc., but it is very difficult to comply with all of the above requirements, and at the beginning of training they are extremely important. Therefore, it is better to leave any exotic for later and take ordinary balls first:

  • two such balls should easily fit into an open palm, sticking with slightly bent fingers (for example, balls for tennis are suitable),
  • the weight of the balls should be average: they should not flutter with fluffs or throw off your legs when dropped.
And they will have to fall often and a lot. Therefore, the best place for training is a bed or sofa, standing near the wall.

Stand facing the wall close to the bed, touching it slightly with your knees. So, balls falling on a soft base will not roll out all over the apartment, they will not need to bend and run constantly (which quickly tires and discourages engaging in general), the fall will be silent and will not hinder anyone, the absence of unnecessary gestures will save time and speed up learning.

The position "sitting on the bed (or carpet) on your knees" (such tips are sometimes found) is less mobile: until you learn to juggle confidently, you will not have to stand in one place, you will need to be able to move around freely. In addition, it is inconvenient: blood circulation is disturbed, legs become numb, they can begin to be reduced, unless, of course, you are a resident of the East, for whom this way of sitting is natural and familiar from childhood.

The first training stage. Single ball work
Keep your arms bent at right angles at the level of the lower part of the chest, do not lift them up and do not stretch forward, relax, your hands should feel natural and relaxed.

The challenge is to first learn how to freely manipulate only one ball, but equally easily with both hands and in different directions.

  1. Up down. Vertical throws with your right hand, then with your left. Hone to perfection. Try to increase, decrease the tempo, at the time of the throw, while the ball is in the air, try to clap your hands, click your fingers or squeeze and unclench your palm.

    • now, without tossing, quickly throw (shift) it with a horizontal movement back to your right hand, the movement resembles a clap of your hands,
    • repeat all over again, the ball will describe as if one constant circle.
After a series of repetitions, change direction in the other direction. Randomly alternate all the ways between each other. Bring movement to automatism.

The second training stage. Work with two balls
It is very important that you enjoy everything you do. Monotony is not needed: diversify exercises with any additions (claps, turns, etc.), combine them as you wish, pursuing the same goal: free and identical movements with both hands. Become one with the ball, feel it, how the driver feels the car. If you are tired, take a break, do the workouts later, the acquired skills will not disappear anywhere.

The third training stage. Connect the third ball
When you have mastered all the previous exercises, pick up the third ball. If you're right handed, take two balls in your right hand and one in your left. For left-handed people the opposite. So it will be easier to master the technique, then it will no longer matter which hand to start juggling with.
This can go on ad infinitum and is called cascade juggling.
If you can perform these movements without stopping, consider that you have already learned to juggle with three balls. But you are unlikely to succeed right away. Each movement will also have to be worked out, like all the previous ones. The balls will collide, get confused, fall, fly past the goal, but your persistence and patience will tame their obstinate character as a result.

How can I speed up the result?

    1. Do not immediately try to certainly achieve a continuous “flow” of balls, make stops, mentally break the entire cycle into pieces and work out each individually, gradually combining them and shortening pauses.
    2. Let your hands rest. Muscles cannot work normally, being in a constant voltage (and for beginners, as a rule, they are in this state). Relax
    3. The strength and height of the throw must be moderate, do not throw the ball under the ceiling.
    4. Throws in one plane parallel to your face (wall).
    5. The color of the balls does not matter, but if you train against the wall, they should not merge with it. It scatters and annoys.
What is the benefit of an ordinary person from juggling?
    • Free possession of both hands will bring additional benefits to your brain: it stimulates and develops the work of both its halves equally.
    • You will always be the center of attention in a friendly company and you will acquire a very special location in the children's team, where they will look at you with admiring glances and with open mouths.
    • It will become almost impossible for you to drop or break something: you will pick up any object directly on the fly (not at all going to juggle it) automatically, completely without thinking that it often helps out in life.
Once acquired, the ability to juggle will forever remain with you, like the ability to ride a bicycle or to skate. Having acquired the initial skills of juggling with three balls, you will already be able to independently master more complex techniques and with a large variety of subjects.
